Whether you’re snuggling up with a board book or sharing a laugh with your teen, these titles will help you connect and reflect on the awesome dads in our lives.

👶 Baby/Toddler (Ages 0–2)

“DADA” by Jimmy Fallon
A hilarious and adorable board book by late-night host Jimmy Fallon, DADA captures a dad’s desperate (and funny) attempt to get his baby to say “Dada” first. With silly animal illustrations and a playful tone, it’s perfect for a Father’s Day cuddle session.

🧒 Preschool (Ages 3–5)

“Because I’m Your Dad” by Ahmet Zappa
This sweet and quirky book is a love letter from a fun-loving father to his child, full of promises like pancakes for dinner and tickle fights before bedtime. It’s silly, sentimental, and everything preschoolers love in a read-aloud.

🧑‍🎓 Early Elementary (Ages 6–8)

“My Dad Used to Be So Cool” by Keith Negley
Ever wonder what dads were like before kids? This fun picture book explores that idea through vibrant illustrations and a thoughtful message about how love reshapes priorities. A great read for kids beginning to see their parents as people, too.

📖 Tweens (Ages 9–12)

“Just Like My Dad” by David Melling
This humorous and heartwarming book follows a young lion cub who wants to be just like his dad—but learns his dad isn’t perfect, and that’s okay. It’s a great conversation starter about admiration, expectations, and unconditional love.

📚 Teens (Ages 13+)

“Knock Knock: My Dad’s Dream for Me” by Daniel Beaty
A powerful and emotional picture book for older readers, this story follows a boy coping with his father’s sudden absence. Told through poetic letters, it’s a touching Father’s Day read that explores resilience, love, and the lasting impact of fatherhood.

💙 No matter what kind of dad is in your child’s life—biological, adoptive, step, or honorary—books are a beautiful way to celebrate the bond you share. Grab one of these great reads, find a comfy spot, and enjoy some special reading time together.
